We are happy to announce that Dr. Brenna Miler has started as the new Assistant Director of the H/21 project. Miller is also a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in the Roots of Contemporary Issues Program at Washington State University. In 2018, she earned her PhD from The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on the history of Muslims in Yugoslavia from 1945 to 1980. Miller brings vast teaching experience to the History for the 21st Century initiative, including introductory, upper-division, and honors university courses in World, European and Middle Eastern History. She also served as co-creator of the Past as Prologue Northwest Public Radio series, managing editor of Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspectives, and host of the podcast History Talk. For H/21, Miller will be designing (and redesigning) lesson plans for the modules, working with module authors, and helping to organize activities as we work to bring high quality, student-centered, inquiry-driven, and active-learning lesson plans to you and your students for free!
